The basis of our documentary idea is that the world is changing…getting more complex…and that business is being forced to change in response. As designers, we of course think that a designer’s way of thinking can help businesses meet these wicked new challenges.
So we want to gather insight into this growing relationship between design and business, AND we want to share that with designers, business people and students. Yes, we want to do that through an online documentary, but there are so many of those out there already. What to do…
Well it starts with content. Design can innovate in a range of industries, so we needed to have interviews with leaders who could provide insight in areas like service design, branding, consumer products and others. Erik and Zilver Innovation were again there in support with a diverse collection of contacts.
We started shuffling names like playing cards, creating a skeleton storyboard of industries, unique challenges and personalities. We had some ideas about what we wanted to learn, but knew that sitting down with these leaders we would enlighten us in ways we weren’t expecting. In the end we think we have a story that will capture your attention.
