Our quest to find how companies are adopting new design approaches to enrich the way they do business led us to Wolfsburg in Germany. There we interviewed Benjamin Schulz and Lukas Golyszny from the Service Innovation department of Volkswagen.
During our stay, Benjamin showed us the impressive Autostadt (Auto City), a campus that gathers Volkswagen’s most celebrated and important cars and milestones. As we were walking around with him, we discussed how designerly approaches are bringing new insights to business and management.
The interview with Benjamin and Lukas brought us a fresh perspective on what is really happening in companies such as Volkswagen, where design approaches are being used to explore new business models, services and offerings which are better suited to the customer and the environment in which he or she lives.
